Planning an out of state move
Whether you live in another state or cannot be there for every appointment, you can help without making every choice yourself. Start with a shared written list of what is decided, what still needs a decision, and which appointments require someone local.
Agree with your parent who may receive updates and what they may decide. Get dates, room measurements and vendor estimates in writing. Keep sentimental choices separate from urgent logistics.
